If you are not sure what safety programs or training your company needs, start here. TerraFuego can help you organize the basics around the work your employees actually perform.
Does my company need an Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)?
Most California employers are required to establish, implement and maintain a written IIPP. TerraFuego can help develop or organize a practical IIPP around your company's actual operations.
What is a Heat Illness Prevention Plan?
It is a written set of procedures for preventing and responding to heat illness, including areas such as water, shade, high-heat procedures, emergency response and employee and supervisor training when the applicable standard requires them.
Does my company need a written Heat Illness Prevention Plan?
Many California employers with employees working outdoors are subject to Cal/OSHA heat-illness-prevention requirements. TerraFuego can help you identify the basic program elements that apply to your operation and put the written procedures and supporting forms together.
What is the difference between Safety Essentials and the Field Safety Program?
Safety Essentials focuses on the core written safety foundation. The Field Safety Program adds applicable field-focused items such as heat illness procedures, PPE guidance, vehicle and equipment inspections, JHA/JSA forms, supervisor responsibilities and a toolbox or tailgate meeting system.
Will TerraFuego customize the program for my company?
Yes. We start with what your employees actually do, the equipment they use and the conditions they work in. The goal is a program your supervisors and employees can understand and use, not a generic binder with only the company name changed.
Can TerraFuego review safety programs we already have?
Yes. If you already have an IIPP, heat plan, safety manual or forms, TerraFuego can review and organize them, identify obvious gaps or outdated sections and help you build a more usable program. The employer remains responsible for determining and meeting all requirements that apply to its workplace.
What is included in the $250 monthly on-site safety meeting?
Ron conducts an approximately 30-minute on-site safety meeting on a relevant field or seasonal topic. The visit includes meeting material, an employee attendance record, documentation of the date, topic and instructor, a copy of the completed records for management and a brief management follow-up.
Does one monthly safety meeting satisfy all required safety meetings?
No. Requirements depend on the employer's industry and operations. For example, California construction supervisors must conduct toolbox or tailgate safety meetings at least every 10 working days. TerraFuego's monthly meeting is a supplemental service and is not represented as satisfying every required meeting or training obligation.
Does TerraFuego provide OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 cards?
No. TerraFuego does not currently issue OSHA Outreach 10- or 30-hour cards. Our services focus on practical company safety programs, implementation support and workplace safety meetings and training within the scope of the service provided.
Does hiring TerraFuego guarantee that my company is OSHA or Cal/OSHA compliant?
No. TerraFuego provides safety-program development, training and implementation support, but the employer remains responsible for identifying and complying with the laws, regulations and training requirements that apply to its workplace and employees.
